Anireh was the leader of a sect of Cythonnites who lived in underground tunnels in the Outlands.
Biography[]
When Seg-El and their missing member Raika were found by Junra, they were taken to her lair. Anireh greeted him, revealing her sect who worship the ice goddess Cythonna. Despite knowing that Seg is from the House of El, she thanked him for saving Raika from Black Zero agents and offered him to heal his wounds.[1] Anireh and her followers later went to underground tunnels to protect the place where the door with hybrid sigil of two houses of El and Zod was found. Anireh confronted Seg, Lyta and Dru-Zod revealing that the sect knew the secret of the weapon in the form of terrifying creature named Doomsday, created by El and Zod 1000 cycles ago. Although they knew that it will be used against Brainiac, they kept it in underground because they cannot destroy it. Zod wanted it and started armed conflict. Anireh and others retreated from this place.[2]
After the war against Brainiac and subsequent rise to power of General Zod, many members of the sect were either scattered or killed by Doomsday, as revealed by captured Raika from Zod's forces.[3]
